Biography

Kim Buckley is a highly charged female American singer songwriter from Indian Lake, New York.

Kim always had a love of music, but it was truly sparked when her parents gave her a guitar for Christmas during high school. She spent her time teaching herself how to play and soon began to compose her own songs. Kim kept feeding her passion in music as she continued her education. After college, Kim began to attend open mics and it soon became apparent by the audience reaction that she was an up and coming artist.  She quickly began to receive invitations from many upstate musicians to join them on stage and provided her with a platform to share her music.

Kim's popularity quickly grew and she soon was booking solo shows at clubs, music venues, colleges and universities.  Shortly after, Kim teamed up with the very talented band Soul Shock (Rob Beulieu, Rick Annen, Nick Landess and Allen Onderchain) from Albany, New York.  During this 2 year collaboration, Soul Shock toured with Kim and recorded Kim's self released recording, "Pouring Rain".  Since 2005, Kim has been performing consistently with the very talented Rob West.

Kim has shared the stage with national acts such as the soulful Joan Osbourne, pop folk artist Dar Williams, Nashville's Kim Richie, Sophie B. Hawkins, Grammy-Nominated artist Leslie Fiest, rockers Antigone Rising and many more. She has spent over 18 years experience performing solo, in duos and with full bands.

Media critics find it challenging to label Kim's music into just one genre.  However they all agree, that her voice stuns and captivates an audience with her true raw emotion and hard hitting lyrics. Her music raises no age barriers.

Kim lives in the Adirondack Mountains in Upstate New York with her family.
